ECCE 246 practice experience provides students with an opportunity to work alongside a mentor, observing, planning, implementing, and evaluating activities while reflecting upon practices. By the end of this experience students will be able to:
- Provide opportunities for the practical application of knowledge in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for infants and toddlers in group care.
- Accumulate first-hand experience through personal involvement in planning and implementing positive developmental activities for this age group.
- Select and make effective use of equipment, materials and furnishings for both indoor and outdoor activities. These selections will be sufficiently varied, age related and adequate to meet the developmental needs of this age group.
